Dubai: Qualification for the second round of the Dh100,000 Expo 2020 Open Snooker Championship got underway at Dubai Snooker Club on Wednesday.
Eighty players are taking part in the two-week event organised by UAE Billiards and Snooker Association and sponsored by City Engineering Contracting.
Bader Al Muhairi, Salem Al Suwaidi and Mohammad Hani all qualified to the last-32 with respective 3-0 wins over Shehab Helmy, Faris Al Fardan and Asim Valley on Wednesday, while Shaker Mahmoudi beat Anil Kumar 3-2.
