1999 -- A team of Kuwaiti doctors succeed in carrying out the first blood vessel surgery in the country on a patient suffering from sever expansion in a major artery linked to the spleen and pancreas.

1999 -- Kuwait's Justice Ministry signs with the Arab League a memorandum of understanding over cooperation in legal and judicial information fields.

2000 -- Kuwaiti shooter Fahad Al-Dihani wins a gold medal at the world shooting championship held in Italy.

2002 -- The World Health Organization (WHO) elects Kuwait as member of its executive council in appreciation to Kuwait's prominent role in the public health field.

2006 -- MPs Ahmad Al-Saadoun, Ahmad Al-Mulaifi, and Dr. Faisal Al-Mislem file an interpellation motion against HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in line with Article 100 of the Constitution. The interpellation, the first in the country's history to be filed against a premier, comes after the government referred to the Constitutional Court its own draft bill over amending the number of electoral constituencies and bringing them down from 25 to 10 -- a move that is considered an intentional stalling of efforts to amend constituencies.
