MUSCAT -- The recently held 'Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking Techniques' course was acclaimed as a great success. The 14 attendees, one of whom travelled from Saudi Arabia to attend, each credited the course and the instructor with top marks. The course was led by Ernst & Young's Pieter Danhieux a manager of the Information Security team from Ernst & Young in Brussels, and an official instructor for the SANS Institute and one of only 11 people worldwide who have obtained the GIAC Security Expert status from GIAC.
"I have never been on any course like this before," commented Moosa Ali Mohammed al Wohaibi, Director of IT for the Ministry of Transport and Communication. "It has been extremely useful, the instructor was excellent and explained things in detail and I would most definitely recommend it to others in the IT field as an invaluable course to attend."
Riyadh al Araimy, from Saudi Telecom Company commented "I have been on several similar courses prior to this one but none have compared to this one hosted by Ernst & Young. I have learnt more than I ever expected about network penetration but with the added bonus that we had an instructor that could share his practical knowledge rather than just theory."
The course was held as part of Ernst & Young's continuous efforts to increase awareness and share knowledge with the industry. The course is approved by GIAC (Global information assurance certification) and was designed in collaboration with SANS a well-known institute for information security training.
