Agreement helps ECQ to offer advanced IP-based services to tenants
Energy City Qatar, the Gulf's energy business cluster, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NavLink, the Middle East's leading managed services provider.
The MoU allows both companies to further develop a cooperation framework in relation to the Energy City Information & Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. In principle, Energy City Qatar and NavLink, an AT&T affiliated company, will explore options to develop, build and operate a state-of-the-art, data centre, that meets ECQ tenants' needs.
"We see this agreement as a further step towards establishing Energy City Qatar as the world's leading location for energy companies. The agreement allows both companies to work closely to identify how NavLink's pioneering technology can be integrated into the Energy City Qatar Data Center," said Hesham Al Emadi, CEO of Energy City Qatar, pointing out the significance of the agreement. "In particular, we will be looking to see how we can develop hosting and managed services for our tenants, possibly co-branded as Energy City Qatar / NavLink," added Al Emadi.
Laurent Delifer, Co-President and COO of NavLink, said: "We are excited about our collaboration with ECQ and looking forward, with our strategic partners, to enable ECQ to offer advanced IP-based services to its tenants within the city as well as managed global connectivity to fulfill their most demanding telecommunication needs."
