Emirates Glass is investing Dh16 million in a new machine that will triple production of tempered glass at the company's Dubai plant.
The new machine for the forced convection furnace, recognised as the largest tempering furnace available in the world, as well as additional machinery will expand the present production line.
"There are few companies in our trade who would not desire the incredible immediate growth and potential market expansion that the new machines will offer Emirates Glass," said Jerry Dowling, general manager.
Collectively, the new machines at Emirates Glass will represent the largest, single glass manufacturing machines in the world.
"In terms of production and sales, the installation of the new machines is certain to have global implications. Emirates Glass will not only immediately expand its base of operations, triple its capacity, but also will be ready to invade inaccessible markets," said Ziad Yazbeck, sales and marketing director.
The recent purchase includes the installation of the Lisec automatic glass-cutting table that will triple the production capacity.
The company will also install a second Lisec double glazing line, equipped with the latest edge deletion facility and the upgrade of the sealing robot.
With the installation of a Schiatti double-edger and four-holed drilling station, edge working capability will also be tripled.
The company will continue to stress on quality services for its clients with the highest professional standards to meet its delivery responsibilities.
