Dubai: Spatial Composite Solutions FZE recently delivered Dh30 million worth of cabin service training equipment to Emirates-CAE Flight Training, a company statement said.
The equipment is being installed in the new Emirates Aviation College Crew Training Building in Garhoud.
The contract covers the on-site fabrication of a series of exact replica Airbus and Boeing fuselage sections, including fit-out of galley and seating areas with curved glass sections for observation by Emirates training personnel.
"Spatial is the only indigenous manufacturer of cabin crew training equipment in the Middle East and is currently involved in negotiations with several airlines in the region that need to upgrade their cabin crew training facilities to cope with planned expansion in the aviation sector," Joe McKeever, Spatial's chief executive said.
The company is also planning to open a new facility at the World Central Airport in Jebel Ali to coincide with the Dubai Air Show there in 2009.
"A local company with the required skills and ambition to succeed will receive support and encouragement from the Dubai Government and our success in winning the Emirates contracts against tough British and German competition is a clear example of the opportunities that exist for those who are serious about making it happen in Dubai," he said.
Spatial was established in 2007 in Dubai to manufacture high end composite components for the aviation and aerospace industries.
"Emirates-CAE Flight Training is the leading flight training facility in the region for both commercial and business aviation operators," said Marc Parent, CAE Group President, Simulation Products and Military Training and Services.
"We are pleased ECFT continues to expand with CAE's true fidelity simulation equipment."
