Emaar Misr, the wholly-owned subsidiary of UAE-based Emaar Properties, introduced its 'Intelligent Real Estate' concept at last week's Cairo ICT, the firm said in a statement.
Intelligent Real Estate establishes a single IP network for communications (voice, video, and data) as well as other systems including HVAC, lighting, energy, video surveillance and access.
The pavilion showcased the functioning of a control system, known as the Human Interface Series, within a household. An example of this is the Pressure Mat, installed to control lighting, air conditioning, and computers, while a single touch screen device gives the user control over every single aspect.
Functioning of the control system in an office environment was also exhibited. This included the use of motion sensors that protect the premise from intrusion, while granting access to only those who are authorized. The lights within the vicinity come on and go off, based on the presence of personnel, thereby promoting power saving.
