Dubai, Oct. 26th, 2006 (WAM)---As part of its commitment to customer serviceand the efficient upkeep of its properties, Emaar Properties has launcheda new campaign to educate residents of its master-planned communitieson the importance of preventive maintenance of their homes.
"Properties at Emaar communities are covered under the defect liabilityperiod for one year from the completion of construction for repair andreplacements, if any, needed," said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE Managing Director,Emaar Properties. "However, it is important to maintain the property evenafter the warranty period. Regular maintenance checks are needed for thehome's upkeep."Emaar has published a booklet entitled 'Premium Service Providers' toensure that residents have easy access to renowned maintenance serviceproviders. It was launched at the community event 'Home Improvement 2006',which brought together Emaar communities to discuss on a range of lifestyleand home improvement issues. All the six service providers of Emaar were represented at the two-dayevent, which was attended by more than 2,000 residents. The representativesanswered the queries of residents and offered competitive packages tosuit their requirements. The six service providers offer the entire range of maintenance servicesincluding air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and civilworks. "To make sure that the service provided by these companies is top-notch,Emaar has pre-qualified the service providers with Service Level Agreements,"added Al Matrooshi. The booklets are distributed door to door at all Emaar communities tohelp residents arrive at an informed decision on selecting the serviceproviders and also plan their maintenance schedule in advance. Emaar homeowners are also protected by warranties issued by various subcontractorsand equipment suppliers. Emaar's education initiative will involve the establishment of internationalschools in the MENA region and India, which will offer premium qualityeducation and an integrated curriculum for students ranging from kindergartento tertiary levels. Emaar's healthcare diversification will see the companyinvest around AED 18.35 billion (US$5 billion) over the next decade inthe MENA and South Asia markets with the construction of hospitals, clinicsand medical centres and the investment in the provision of world-classhealthcare services.Emaar educates residents on preventive house maintenance
