The Saudi Electronic University will begin studies in the academic year of 2013-2014, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday.

A government institution, the university will start studies in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam.

About 3,900 seats, about 65 percent of the university's total intake capacity of 6,500, would be dedicated for women students.They said the men and women students would be committed to make physical attendance of at least 25 percent of the credit hours. The university has three main specializations: accountancy and e-commerce at the college of administrative and financial sciences, IT at the college of computing, and informatics and health data at the college of health sciences.
