BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Egypt's Damietta Container Handling Co. plans to launch an tender after the Eid Al Fitr holidays for a project to deepen Damietta port and develop parts of it at a preliminary cost estimated at 400 million Egyptian pounds ($67.2 million), Cairo-based Al Ahram daily reports Tuesday citing an executive.

The tender will target local and international contractors and the project will enable the port to accommodate giant vessels, Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, the company's chairman, said according to the paper.
