MUSCAT -- BankDhofar re-launched its website that will enable customers to navigate and access the bank's newly launched e-banking services with ease. With the availability of advanced technology, banking has now become more convenient; customers can bank at anytime from anywhere. BankDhofar Online banking services will cater to retail as well as corporate customers in English and Arabic. "Till now most banks provide online banking in English only, BankDhofar has extended its online banking services in Arabic to better cater to those who prefer banking in Arabic" said Zaid Abdullatif, Manager e-banking.

With BankDhofar Online, retail customers will be able to access all their accounts, loans, deposits and credit cards; and also check past transactions for any 12-month period. Among a host of other services available, fund transfers between accounts or to third parties within the bank, overseas remittances, credit card dues payments and utility bill payments.

The service also provides real time access to account information to corporate customers who can manage their accounts from their desktops. Corporate Internet Banking offers a variety of key facilities, such as single window viewing of all BankDhofar accounts. This includes: current accounts, overdrafts, fixed deposits, loans and trade finance accounts. Other transactions that can now be accomplished through Corporate Internet Banking are inter-account funds transfer, utility bill payments, bulk funds transfer and managing account access and transaction access to various employees with complete security.

For added security to corporates, corporate users are provided with secure tokens, for authentication in addition to user IDs and login passwords. Multi-level authorisation rules are also a powerful security feature which allows the corporate to map the approval mechanism for online transactions. A transaction will not take place unless the required number of authorised signatories have approved it. Corporates are also provided with payroll facilities, that enables payment of monthly salaries to its employees conveniently.
