Sharjah: Dubai Modern High School won the fifth edition of the Sundeep Batavia Memorial Cricket tournament, beating Delhi Private School, Sharjah, by 10 wickets.

Batting first, DPS Sharjah was bowled out for just 37 runs in 12.4 overs.

Dubai Modern raced to victory, with Aditya and Anush scoring 19 runs each.

Shourya Chopra of Dubai Modern School won the man of the series award while the best batsman award went to his teammate Nikhil Srinivasan. Both players were awarded a flight ticket sponsored by Air India.

Rohan Mahesh of DPS won the best bowler award while the best fielder award went to Nikhil Venkatesh of Indian High School, Dubai.

In the Honda Pride Cup inter-collegiate tournament, Heroit Watt University beat Skyline College by nine wickets and four overs to spare.

Skyline College made 142 in 20 overs through Abdullah's 48. Heroit Watt University scored 143 for 1 in 16 overs, with Qasim Zubair top scoring with an unbeaten 82.

Rohan Mustafa 44, Ahmad Faraz 30, Himanshu 4 for 19, Anirudh 2 for 20) BITS 119 for 4 in 19.3 overs. (Akeela Sriram 50n.o, Siddharth 43. Rizwan 3 for 22). Man of the match: Akella Sriram.
