DUBAI, 16, 05 (WAM) - Dubai Industrial City has announced thatit has completed the master plan for the city that will spreadacross 560 million square feet of prime land clustering industrialactivities by setting up manufacturing zones, a dedicated industrialgrowth fund and an international engineering academy establishedin partnership with one of the leading globally-branded schools,a dedicated logistics zone and a commercial area that will sprawlalong the emirates road and the Water Canal winding its way throughDubai Industrial City, according to a press release.

Additionally, commercial developments such as residential communitiesand retail developments with high rise towers, boardwalks, piersand promenades will also constitute this development. The entiredevelopment will be artistically landscaped along the Canal.

"Our objective is simple. We aim to develop a project that willadd value to all - to the UAE, to the people who work, live anddo business with Dubai Industrial City. Our association withthe mother company, Dubai Holding, will provide us with synergiesin creating something that is unique," said Mohammed Al Gergawi,Chief Executive of Dubai Holding.

"We are well on our way to realising the visionof Sheikh Mohammed.

The master planning process is completed. Additionally, we haveidentified and finalised the site for the Head Quarter of DubaiIndustrial City as well as for the first set of office buildings.

We hope to have the waterfront development to be ready in thenear future," Al Gergawi said.
