Dubai, 6 Dec, 05 (WAM) - The Dubai Metal and Commodities Centre(DMCC) today unveiled the 'DUBAI CUT' an exceptional new cutof diamond. The unique and exclusively patented cut of diamondhas 99 facets, and is exclusively produced by Kristall Corporation,for DMCC.

Kristall, the largest Russian polished diamond manufacturer,will produce the unique and beautifully manufactured DUBAI CUTexclusively for DMCC under a legal patent. The internationallyrenowned diamond organization known for its high quality standards,will produce a limited number of around 1800 stones annually.

Each diamond will be laser-inscribed with a serial number andwill be presented with a certificate of authenticity statingthat the stone is mined, cut and polished in Russia and meetsthe highest quality standards. The basic characteristics of thestone (color, clarity and weight) are also included,according to a press release.

DMCC will invite its members to submit their applications forconsideration in mid-February. The criteria for qualificationis very stringent and only a few will be short listed for licenseconsideration.
