Dubai, 17 March 2009 (WAM) -- In an effort to showcase the UAEs grand vision of progress, unique natural beauty, and striking growth to the world, du, the UAEs integrated telecom service provider, today announced its partnership with Discovery Studios to produce Emirates Revealed, a documentary feature, scheduled to premiere in 2009.
To be shot entirely in high-definition (HD) format and exclusively available to du customers and also in the U.S. on Discovery HD Theater, Emirates Revealed will explore the influences, landmarks and ambitions behind the UAEs rapid rise to prominence and provide a glimpse of what the nations future might look like. Emirates Revealed will explore the UAEs landmark properties and projects, the challenges and triumphs encountered during design, engineering and construction, and reflections on the role theyre playing in transforming the UAE into a truly global center for tourism, business and culture. "Emirates Revealed is a project like no other, in its ambition, scale or grandeur. Showcasing and preserving our rich culture is important to du and by partnering with Discovery Studios, we are ensuring the very best in production values and technical expertise to showcase the best of the UAE to the world," Hala Badri, EVP Brand & Communications, du, said. The Discovery Studios crew spent three weeks filming numerous sites throughout the UAE, from the breathtaking grandeur of the Emirates Palace Hotel and the soaring heights of Burj Dubai, to the boisterous bullfights of Fujairah and the historic dhow boat building along the beautiful beaches of Ras Al Khaimah.
