The Medical Supervision Directorate at the Ministry of Health yesterday dismissed as baseless messages being circulated among people and patients that some drugs had been banned because they could lead to death.
The message said four drugs - Panadol, Advil, Sinus Clarinas and Flutab - could increase heart beat and cause death.
"There is no ban on these drugs in Bahrain or any other country. There is a limited quantity of Pseudoephedrine content in these drugs which are based on international and scientific standards and limits.
"If consumed more than the prescribed quantity, these drugs could have side effects," the directorate said.
