Dubai, 28th March 2012 (WAM) : Dubai Quality Group (DQG) has concluded a strategic MoU with the Institute of Directors, India (IOD-India), during a visit by officials from IOD to DQG in Dubai. IOD officials were briefed about the principles and foundations of the Group and the goals and ambitions DQG pursues through its cooperation with several organizations and bodies, inside and outside the UAE, for business upgrading and improvement of functions based on foundations of quality and innovation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Saleh Janeeh, Chairman of DQG, Mr. Sunil Bahri, DQG Director of Finance, Lt. Gen. J. S. Ahluwalia, President of the Institute of Directors, India, President of World Environment Foundation, India and Fellow of World Council of Corporate Governance, UK, and a number of other officials. The aim of the MoU is to facilitate mutual expansion and development of the membership base in the UAE and India, and also on a global basis. It seeks to enhance creation of possibilities to conduct joint workshops, seminars, conferences, award activities and other events related to joint training and to take advantage of mutual experience. Mr. Saleh Janeeh said that the agreement with the IOD-India was very important to both parties, particularly since the Institute was well known in the Middle East region and the world. The DQG, he said, establishes quality formation and supports excellence on a daily basis. He pointed out that the MoU would enhance the chances of positive and constructive engagement on different fronts, of which the most significant related to the exchange of experience and expertise between the parties. It would reduce much effort and time for both parties in their programs and plans, he said. Lt. Gen. J. S. Ahluwalia said that working with the Dubai Quality Group was in itself an asset to the Institute, and enriched the spirit of excellence that the Institute is known for locally, regionally and internationally. He added: "We are absolutely confident in the worthiness of the MoU, and the benefits the two parties can gain from it, especially as it allows them plenty of room for cooperation and exchange of expertise, experience, knowledge, training and so on."According to Mr. Sunil Bahri, the MoU opens up new avenues of fruitful cooperation at the level of enriching the programs of both parties with plans and ideas, which carry good tidings to the bodies cooperating and collaborating with both parties. Therefore, he said, DQG was keen to enrich its experience with quality and excellence, by positioning the Group at higher levels by signing such agreements.
