Doha, Feb 06th, 2012 (WAM) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Chief of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Hamas Politbureau Khalid Mashaal signed today in the capital of Qatar, the Doha Declaration of the Palestinian reconciliation.
Emir of Qatar HH Sheikh Hamasd Bin Khalifa Al Thani witnessed signing of the the Doha Declaration in the presence of Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and a number of senior officials, reported Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The Declaration called for ending the partition and division on the Palestinian arena to contribute to enhance the Palestinian National Unity for maintaining steadfastness, terminating the occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to restore and regain all their legitimate rights including the establishment of their independent Palestinian state with Al Quds Ash-Sharif as its capital.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2012.
