DIHQA Quran contest unveil with startling participants

Dubai, Aug 19th, 2010 (WAM) -- Dubai International Holy Quran Awards 14th session has unveiled with Sri Lankan participant, who memorized Quran in 3 years from Al Fathah College in Sri Lanka, Safarulla Khan Mohammed Safan, 14 years old boy desire to be a scholar of Quran. Even he memorized complete Quran, but doesnt know the meaning of any words from Quran.

The story of another participant from Rwanda give more surprise when he memorized full Quran in a short span of time, Cyusa Abdullahi, 9 years old, was memorizing one juzu, in a day. His Father Abdulla narrates that if he could make him happy with outing, Cyusa will be happier to memorize Quran in short time.

When Bosnian participant, Abdulla Kapo, sees his memorization of Quran gave him feel of protection, he has been safeguarded by Quran, he wants to be a propagator of Quran in his home country which witnessed genocide of Muslims by ethnic Croatians in last decade.

The Philippine Participant, Talha Ahmed Alimoden, memorized Quran in one year, it was a dream of his mother, she wanted her son to be a Hafiz. The story of his memorization starts before she get married, while the engagement of marriage getting place, she was dreaming to be a mother of Hafiz, when she get pregnant, she used to hear the CDs of recitation of Holy Quran from different Scholars. He remembers that it was an induction in the childhood to follow the recitation when he hears it.

The commencement of contest graced with full gathering from the participants. The Organizing Committee has headed with supervision of contest.
