DUBAI, 20 Sep, 05 (WAM) - Dubai Internet City (DIC), a memberof Dubai Holding, is set to make a big splash at Gitex for thefifth year running. The ICT hub of the Middle East will supportthe 27 Business Partners at its huge Community Zone, coveringall of Concourse Two at Gitex. Several DIC Business Partnershave returned to the Community Zone this year with increasedspace to showcase their offerings.
The Community Zone provides DIC's Business Partners with a uniqueplatform to gain maximum visibility for their offerings in tandemwith the world-famous DIC brand. Meanwhile, key figures fromDubai Internet City's corporate team will also be on hand totalk to customers from around the world - demonstrating the benefitsof setting up within the business community of the ICT industryfor the region, according to a press release.
"The number of entirely new entrants to the Community Zone thisyear at Gitex is striking. In the past we have seen many of ourBusiness Partners exhibit for the first time at Gitex from theCommunity Zone stand. Many of them have since then developedtheir presence significantly enough to set up independent standsof their own in their respective halls at Gitex" said Jamal AbdulSalam, Executive Director of DIC. "Furthermore, there is stillcontinued demand from potential Business Partners from an increasinglydiverse range of countries to join our community, which representsDIC's central importance to the ICT industry." The CommunityZone will play host to a wide range of Business Partners fromdifferent markets, industries and countries.
Among the new entrants this year are: India-headquartered IT-People.com,the world's first IT-specific online job portal, Swedish-basedhigh-tech IT security solutions company - onSpirix, Telecom Egypt'snew data team, the US-based security firm e-Linear Solutions,and Saudi Arabia-based SAP solutions provider, Naizak. All thesefirms are first-timers at Gitex.
As all of DIC's new Business Partners view the Middle East issuch an exciting region, they have chosen 'right now' to be thetime to set up their physical presence locally - taking advantageof extraordinary growth opportunities in the ICT and Telecomsmarket.
In addition to the first-timers, the DIC Community Zone's stalwartswill also be returning to their stands - some for the fifth yearrunning.
