The prize money offered during Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2003 will cross Dh100 million.
Since DSF was launched in 1996, 600 Lexus cars and 33 Rolls Royces have been given away. This year, the Lexus Mega Raffle offers 128 cars during the 32-day festival, Dh200,000 daily and Dh1 million cash on a weekly basis.
The daily prize is worth close to a Dh1million. Tickets are at Dh200 each. Two lucky winners will be drawn everyday. Each will receive two Lexus cars - a LX 470 and the ES 300 - plus Dh100,000 in cash or in the form of Mashreq Millionaire certificates. Only 5,000 tickets will be sold for every draw. The big surprise this year is the weekly draw for Dh1 million cash. The coupons for the Lexus raffle can be bought from 28 Enoc/Eppco stations in Dubai.
Shopping-linked promotions include a daily prize of a Nissan Patrol 4-wheel drive for all 32-days.Shoppers spending a specified amount at a participating outlet, ranging from Dh25 to Dh500, will be given a raffle coupon for the daily draws.
The Gold and Jewellery Group is offering prizes worth over Dh2.3 million including Dh1 million as the grand prize. Customers spending Dh500 at any of the group's participating outlets will be entitled to a raffle coupon for a daily kilo of gold. The coupons will be entered into a final draw for Dh1 million in cash.
As part of its DSF initiative to support humanitarian and charitable projects, the group is giving winners of the daily prize and the grand prize, the option to donate 10 per cent to charity.
Eat and Win raffle offers customers daily prizes of Dh10,000. Customers spending Dh50-100 at a participating fast food outlet will receive a coupon that will entitle them to participate in the raffle.
