Deputy foreign minister for Arab and Africa affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said a statement issued on Thursday by the US and United Arab Emirates (UAE) is evident interference in Iran's internal affairs.
Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks on Thursday in reaction to a statement issued at the end of a visit by UAE deputy commander of the Armed Forces and crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayyed to the US.
The statement was about the three Persian Gulf islands of Abu Moussa, Greater and Lesser Tunbs which integral and inseparable parts of Iran.
"The third countries pursue sowing the seed of discord in the Middle East region and create tension. The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized that it is ready to hold constructive talks with the regional countries, including UAE with the purpose of enhancing ties with them," Amir-Abdollahian added.
