Dubai: Damac Properties, the largest Dubai-based private sector developer, yesterday announced its ninth project in Business Bay Water's Edge a 20-storey commercial waterfront development.

The company has not divulged the value of the pro-ject.

"Our presence in Business Bay stems from our belief in the extremely vibrant and dynamic masterplan for the development," Hussain Sajwani, chairman of Damac Holding, said.

"The launch of this project follows the impressive success experienced by the company's previous eight projects at Business Bay - HAZ Tower, The Corner, Executive Bay, Business Tower, XL Tower, Capital Bay, Park Central and Business Central."

The tower will feature office spaces as well as retail and recreational facilities.

"For those who enjoy being in the midst of all the action, Water's Edge is the ideal location," said Peter Riddoch, Damac chief executive.

"The pleasures of working in an office tower that so perfectly complements the advantages of a self-contained development are many. Water's Edge is a perfect commercial eco-system with breathtaking waterfront views. An exclusive world of boutique retail space also adds to the zest of the environment. The project will have a beautiful and serene landscape and parking at five levels," he added .

Damac recently launched The Signature Series, which will feature the most expensive penthouse in the Middle East. Each penthouse will cost upwards of eight million euros.
