MUSCAT -- The Command and Staff College of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) held a ceremony here yesterday to mark the passing out of the 22nd batch of officers under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Thuwainy al Said. The ceremony was attended by Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF).
Since its establishment 22 years ago, the Command and Staff College has achieved many goals towards the full modernistaion of its curricula through the introduction of new methods benefiting from information technology, said Commodore Mahfoud bin Hamoud al Wahaibi, Commandant of the college. The guest presented Bachelor's certificates in military sciences to the officers.
The ceremony was attended by Lt Gen Malik bin Sulaiman al Ma'amari, Inspector General of Police and Customs, Lt Gen Abdullah bin Rashid al Kalbani, Head of the Internal Security Service (ISS), Maj Gen Said bin Nassir al Salmi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Air Vice Marshal Yahya bin Rasheed al Jumaa, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), Commodore Mohammed bin Ali al Farsi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), as well as the Commander of the Sultan's Special Force, and other high-ranking officers at SAF and RGO.
