DOHA: Consolidated Gulf Co (CGC), one of the first technology companies in Qatar, has unveiled its new corporate identity and logo in synergy with Qatar's incredible growth and inspiring future.

CGC's new identity aims at better reflecting its core values and progressive vision to continue to be the leading technology, engineering and mobility solutions and services provider in the country.

CGC revealed its new corporate identity and logo at an impressive ceremony at Ramada Plaza on Sunday. Dignitaries from various sectors of the Qatari economy, media persons, business partners and CGC officials attended the launch event that featured an artistic sand art presentation depicting CGC's 25 years of glorious journey, an Ardha dance, a colourful flag dance performance, and Arabian and continental cuisines.

"With its charismatic rise to become the new global capital of business, education, sports, arts and culture, Qatar now plays as a role model for transformation on both economic and social fronts. The Gulf nation's remarkable achievements and initiatives have propelled us - the local industry - to transcend barriers and go full swing in pursuit of greater successes," said Anil Mahajan, the Chief Operating Officer of CGC.

He said CGC's new corporate identity is inspired by Qatar, by its vision, dedication and determination to lead from the front and scale newer heights.

"It conveys and re-affirms CGC's commitment to contribute further to Qatar Vision 2030 which aims to have a sustainable knowledge-based, environment-conscious economy built on the foundations of social, economic and human empowerment."

Mahajan further explained the new CGC branding comes at a time when there is a heightened focus on Qatar and its future.

"Proud to be a Qatari company with a difference, our achievements in the technological arenas illustrate the desire and commitment of the company's visionary approach and methodology to lead by example and ensure availability of cutting edge technologies, quality products, customised solutions and cost effective services in partnership with global technology leaders, thus keeping the business community inspired and empowered to have a prosperous tomorrow." He said the company's new logo symbolises their resolve to work further for a better tomorrow for all.

Tawfeeq Salem, CFO, CGC, said CGC's new tagline 'Inspiring the Future' goes beyond just being a catchphrase, capturing the spirit that drives the company to take a high ground for the corporate brand of being a global company that is progressive and is future-focused.

"It affirms that as CGC we are in the business of inspiring a future for all our stakeholders and fuels an internal culture for employees, who will be a driving force for future growth. In line with extraordinary changes taking place in Qatar, our new identity fully demonstrates our readiness to transform ourselves to effectively serve the industry," said Salem.

Satvik, a Dubai-based global organisation with expertise in business analytics and brand management consultancy, helped CGC in development and design of its new corporate identity and logo. Sudhir Nair, Director, Satvik, said, "Our challenge with re-branding CGC was not just to give them a refreshed identity and new logo, but to consolidate the core values and the drive that got CGC to this level of success."
