Cairo (APD) - Casablanca-Marrakech Train a Grande Vitesse (TGV) or a high-speed passenger train, would be operational as of 2010, Maghreb Arab press quoted Morocco's Minister of Equipment and Transport Karim Ghellab as saying.
Cairo (APD) - Casablanca-Marrakech Train a Grande Vitesse (TGV) or a high-speed passenger train, would be operational as of 2010, Maghreb Arab press quoted Morocco's Minister of Equipment and Transport Karim Ghellab as saying.
Speaking at a meeting with French Minister of Transport, Equipment and Tourism, Dominique Perben, Ghellab said a feasibility study was carried out by the specialized French company, SYSTRA.
Ghellab underlined the significance of the project and its importance in developing transportation between the two shores of the Mediterranean basin.
Casablanca-Marrakech TGV is part of the Moroccan-French partnership and will be extended later to the south of Morocco to reach Agadir (south). [EW-FC]
