ABU DHABI 20 Feb 2013: Bristol Vehicles Manufacturing Division (Bristol VMD), a subsidiary of the Concorde - Corodex Group and M.H. Al Mana Group of Companies (CCG), has revealed its upcoming participation at this year's edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence, which runs between February 17 to 21, 2013 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
During the event, Bristol VMD threw the spotlight on the Gurkha Light Armored Patrol Vehicle (LAPV) and the Gurkha Rapid Patrol Vehicle (RPV), two of the latest tactical vehicle models from its Canadian-based partner, Terradyne Armored Vehicles Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Magna International. The Gurkha LAPV successfully posted excellent performance ratings during its participation at last year's UAE Land Forces Summer Field Trials. The Terradyne stand will be located at IDEX Stand Number CP-410 - exterior - opposite door F. Bristol VMD was recently appointed Terradyne's official UAE agents and is responsible for marketing and supporting the product range within territory. Terradyne is known for its Gurkha range of armored military and law enforcement vehicles that employ the respected and robust Ford F550 chassis and power platform. "Following the successful participation of our LAPV in the 2012 UAE Land Forces summer field trials, we are delighted to formally introduce the Gurkha range of vehicles to the Middle East region in association with of our UAE partners, Bristol VMD," said Andrew Preston, Director of Marketing, Terradyne.
