KUWAIT, April 29 (KUNA) -- Deputy Director General for Editorial Affairs in Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Yousef Al-Yaqout said that KUNA is keen on following up world events in general and specific countries in particular depending on the significance of the event.

This came during his reception of a visiting delegation representing the Federal News Agency (FENA) which visited KUNA today.

Al-Yaqout said that the Balkans area is among the important regions which KUNA is keen to cover.

He stressed the importance of fostering bilateral cooperation as the initial step towards reaching a wider cooperation between the two sides.

He said that KUNA is also keen on shedding more light on significant issues especially concerning Kuwaiti investments in Bosnia-Herzegovina, political and health spheres as well.

For his part, Fena Director Zehrudin Isakovic said that cooperation between the two agencies date back to many years, recalling that both agencies had signed numerous agreements on exchanging of information.

He stressed the importance of reciprocating visits between journalists from the two agencies for the sake of depicting real pictures on each of the countries' life.

He hailed the big role played by KUNA among the world news agencies.
