Dubai: The second qualifying round of The Belle Mare Plage Challenge Cup 2005-'06 will take place at The Montgomerie Dubai with a shotgun start at 1 pm on Friday.
Over 60 golfers will take part in this qualifying round, which is one of 13 taking place at 12 golf clubs in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia over the next five months.
The six qualifiers two ladies and four gentlemen members of the club win the opportunity to play in the final of the challenge.
Winners of the qualifier will also receive a prize from Burberry Golf, one of the event's sponsors. The winners of the final, which will take place on May 6 at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, the only 18-hole golf resort in the region, will win a 10-day trip to the paradise island of Mauritius in December.
Flying with Emirates Airline, one of the event's sponsors, winners will stay at the luxurious Belle Mare Plage The Resort, voted Golf Resort of the Year in 2004 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.
