Hotels Constance and the Belle Mare Plage Resort, Mauritius, are pleased to announce the Belle Mare Plage Challenge Cup 2004/2005, which is now in its third year.

This year's event will commence tomorrow at Nad Al Sheba Club and will consist of 13 rounds, held over the next five months.

The tournament is one of the largest and most successful international amateur competitions in the Middle East, which this year will comprise 13 qualifying rounds, attracting over 900 golfers from 12 golf clubs in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Two new clubs The Desert Course in Dubai and Aramco Golf Club in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia will be participating in the 2004-2005 tournament.

The Belle Mare Plage Challenge Cup is open to all members of each of the participating golf clubs, along with members of the UGA handicap scheme.

There are two men's divisions and one ladies' division. Men's Division A is open to those with handicaps between 0 and 15, while Division B is open to golfers with handicaps between 16 and 28.
