Using latest technologies, the thoroughly remodeled N-series for the first time in 13 years -- which will now be sold under name Reward -- features enhanced durability and economy as well as environmental friendliness befitting Isuzu's strategic model for the world market, he said. He stressed many changes have been incorporated for the driving comfort, visibility and what he called easy-driving. The cab has been extended to create a wide interior and better exterior views. The instrument panel switches have been carefully designed and re-positioned for maximum visibility while driving. The cutting-edge features of the all new N-series with many new conveniences including the cab's aerodynamic, flush-surface design not only improve the environmental and economical performance, it also reduces body-surface grime and improves engine cooling efficiency, he added.

Two new electronically-controlled common rail engines have been added -- the 4JJ1-TC (3.0 liters 130ps with a GVW of both 5500 and 6500) and 4HK1-TCN (5.2 liters 150ps with a GVW of both 7300 and 8000) -- for higher fuel efficiency, lower noise and more power.  The turbo charger with intercooler contributes to more low-speed torque, improved acceleration, better fuel-efficiency and reduced emissions of particulate matter. The popular 4HG1(4.6 liters 121ps with a GVW of both 5500 and 6500) engine also will continue to be offered ensuring a highly versatile new N-series line-up to meet wide- ranging needs.

"We are confident the customers will appreciate the new Reward, the first ever common name for the series in general export market and GCC countries, with its innovative; exterior, enlarged cab for enhanced comfort and the clean fuel-efficient performance of common-rail diesel engines," said Takatoshi Hirose, General Manager, Isuzu Motors Regional Office in Dubai. He also emphasized that Isuzu will continue to spare no efforts in contributing to global economy and society. Despite the current financial turmoil, he said, the all-new N-series under the name Reward is expected to capitalize the market and establish a new era for trucks in the Gulf, backed by the series traditional strength and latest in Isuzu's industry-leading technologies including low-impact diesel engines and innovation for advanced logistics. In short, the Reward is the best partner for best logistics, which will enable owners to further maximize their profits.  Since its 1959 debut in Japan, the Isuzu N-series has continued to adapt to the evolving needs of users while expanding its global market to 100 countries. With the release of the highly competitive all-new vehicles under name Reward, the N-series is well positioned to maintain its status as the world's best selling light-duty truck in its class, he said. The new product launched by Isuzu will change the market and raise the standards of commercial vehicle industry, said Hirose.
