MUSCAT -- As part of its ongoing commitment to support the wider community, Bank Sohar presented Al Noor Association for the Blind -- Sohar with support dedicated towards three workshops conducted at the Association's Sohar Branch. Salim Khamis al Maskari, AGM -- branches at Bank Sohar, handed over the donation cheque on behalf of the Bank Management to Mahmood Amer al Alawi, Secretary of Board of Director of Al Noor Association for the Blind, and Jamal Ibrahim al Balushi, Member of Al Noor Association for the Blind; in the presence of Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, AGM and Head Marketing and Publicity at Bank Sohar, at the Bank's Sohar branch. The event coincided with the Bank's Al Mumayaz Saving Scheme Weekly RO 5,000 draw which was also conducted at the Bank's Sohar branch.

Speaking on the bank support, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, DGM -- Human Resources and Corporate Support at Bank Sohar commented, "At Bank Sohar, our objective is to build meaningful relationships with organisations, such as the Al Noor Association for the Blind. These relationships truly value the growth and well-being of our community as a whole, and CSR initiatives such as these demonstrate our deep commitment to the community we operate in, and one of the cornerstones of our success." The contribution to Al Noor Association for the Blind -- Sohar, will primarily facilitate the operations of three workshops conducted at the Association's Sohar branch -- English Courses for beginners, a Life skills workshop and a Handicraft workshop. The English course includes a specially developed basic course in the English language for people with impaired vision. The Life skills workshop focuses on developing skills required to deal with daily situations. Meanwhile, the Handicrafts workshop helps participants make items that will be useful at home or further develop their skills to make these items available for sale.
