The 7th International Flour and Bakery Industry Exhibition will be held in Tehran's Permanent Fairground from Sept. 12-15.

Announcing this, Hamid Reza Mir-Aftab, manager of Industrial Bread Development Project, said promoting and amending the culture of bread consumption in the society, increasing investments and preparing the ground for the private sector to produce and procure the raw materials required for bread production are the main objectives of the expo, Moj News Agency reported.

The official said standardizing production and commercial activities in the field of producing bread and flour, observing national standards, achieving self-reliance in manufacturing related machineries, paying attention to domestic producers and indigenizing the modern industries are among the other targets of the exhibition.

Some 80 domestic and 4 foreign companies from Germany, Spain and China will participate in the exhibition.

By holding the first bakery industry exhibition in Iran 2007, production and consumption of industrial bread began in the country. The 2nd bakery exhibition which was held with the participation of many domestic and foreign companies was very prosperous.

In the third and fourth exhibitions which were hold in 2009 and 2010, many companies took part to present their technologies. They included flour producing companies, manufacturers of the machineries and equipments of the industries of bread industry, pastry-making and packaging, enzymes & yeast providers, devices, materials and laboratory and measurement equipment producers and advisors.

The 6th International Bakery Industry Exhibition held in 2013, was a platform for the local companies involved in flour and bakery industry to present their achievements and innovations.
