MANAMA - Bahrain’s Tender Board has launched the second phase of digitalising its services in line with the Cabinet’s directives for all ministries and authorities to make quick digital shift for their services.

From yesterday companies have been enabled to provide their bids for government tenders through an integrated central online platform powered by the state-of-the-art Procurement 4.0 programme, while the process will be transparently handled and the tender winners will be announced on the same platform.

Commenting, Tender Board secretary general Dr Mohammed Ali Bahzad thanked Tender Board chairman Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid Al Khalifa for his instrumental role in implementing the project.

Mr Bahzad said with full digitalisation of all services, contractors and companies will be able to submit their bids with ease, allowing more establishments to take part in the process, especially amidst the ongoing crisis caused by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

“The full digitalisation of our services started yesterday via a complete plan designed for this purpose. The tenders announced before this process will be dealt with in the traditional manner,” he added.

The Tender Board is planning to a series of workshops for contractors and establishments to shed light on the new updates in its services.
