Bahrains pavilion at Gitex highlights business facilities

NEARLY 5,000 visitors, including technology company representatives and potential investors, visited the Bahrain national pavilion at the annual Gitex exhibition in Dubai within the first two days of its launch.

On the second day, organisers of the Bahrain Export Centre gave a presentation to the participating Bahraini companies. It included an introduction to the centre’s services aimed at encouraging firms to export their products to international markets.

Several Bahraini entrepreneurs who own emerging technology companies also participated alongside their counterparts from around the world at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, as part of the Bahraini national pavilion’s activities at Gitex.

Other Bahraini companies held meetings with their counterparts in the pavilion, during which they discussed co-operation, commercial representation, and exporting products and services to foreign markets, as well as attracting foreign companies to work and invest in Bahrain.

For the 15th year in a row, Tamkeen, in strategic collaboration with the Bahrain Society for Technology Companies (BTECH) and WorkSmart for event management, is organising Bahrain’s annual participation in the event.

Representatives from Bahraini companies continue to work tirelessly to attend as many events as possible on the sidelines of Gitex, including the Gitex Future Stars show, the Future Blockchain Summit, the Fintech Surge event, and the Marketing Mania conference, in addition to learning about global trends in artificial intelligence, the fifth generation of communications, cloud solutions, big data, cybersecurity, blockchain technology and fintech, among others.

Gitex 2021 is amongst the largest technology events in the world, with a focus this year on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, immersive marketing and fintech.

In addition to tech pioneers, Gitex engages with more than 200 government entities in pursuit of a tech-powered future.

The exhibition runs until Thursday.
