Bahrain's head coach said he is ready to be fired and is "not losing any sleep" thinking about the prospect.
Croatian Strechko led Bahrain to a glorious display in the finals of the Asian Cup in China this summer and to the second round of the world cup qualifiers. He has, however, come in for heavy criticism after Bahrain's loss to Oman in the Gulf Cup semis.
"I have no conflict with the players," Strechko told reporters. "I am not worried about my contract with the Bahrain FA because I am a professional coach and I realise that I am exposed to these things.
"I am concentrating on my team's next game against Kuwait and the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
"If the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) decide to fire me then I will accept their decision," Strechko said.
It has been reported that Strechko is studying offers from two big clubs in the UAE and another offer from the Chinese FA to coach the national team of China after they fired Dutchman Ari Haan after failing to qualifying for the World Cup.
When asked whether professional football and big salaries had spoiled the attitude of Bahraini players, Strechko said: "It is not professionalism that was the main reason for our failure to reach the final. It was the media who made us favourites to win the title. This piled up the pressure on the players and prevented them from playing their usual game."
