In a show of patriotic support and commitment to the government and people of Bahrain, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, will present to His Majesty the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the government and people of Bahrain, the world's largest national draped flag during celebrations of Bahrain's 33rd National Day and Accession Day.

Company chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa stated: "We're pleased to present to the government and people of Bahrain a unique gift to celebrate the Kingdom's 33rd National Day.

"As part of the community, we're committed to constantly highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain's name and achievements in the region and the world."

Commenting on this event, Ebrahim Noor, ministry public-relations manager and organising-committee chairman for National Day activities, expressed his profound happiness and gratitude to MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) for its continuing support.

The flag, which will be displayed at the parking lot of National Stadium, has qualified to get a new, record-breaking entry in the Guinness Book of World Records which, again, strengthens Bahrain's leading position on regional and world maps.

The world's largest national flag - draped flag type - due to arrive in Bahrain today, will be carried and carefully handled by DHL, the Middle East's leading logistics-solutions provider.

Made in China by Jiaxing Maosen Flag Company, this flag is 160 metres long by 96 metres wide and weighs 3,200 kilos, consuming approximately 13,500 metres of the finest fabric.

To mark this occasion, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) appointed Murad Events Management Company to organise a world-class event to mark and celebrate the occasion of Bahrain's 33rd National Day and Accession Day.
