Bahrain's ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa conveyed His Majesty the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's greetings and the greetings of the Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Queen Elizabeth II.

He also affirmed that the leadership valued the friendly relationship and strong ties existing between the two countries. Shaikh Khalifa was speaking on the occasion of him presenting his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II as Bahrain's new ambassador to the United Kingdom.

During the meeting Queen Elizabeth II lauded the friendly relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom and welcomed the ambassador to Saint James Court wishing him success in undertaking his duties.

Shaikh Khalifa was accompanied by his wife Shaikha Mariam bint Mubarak Al Khalifa, Minister at the embassy, Yousif Mohammed Jameel, First Secretary at the embassy Shaikha Zainah bint Hamad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and cultural attache Safiyia Al Awadhi. The ambassador later  held a reception at his residence which was attended by senior British government officials and ambassadors from various Arab nations.
