Lost Paradise of Dilmun (LPOD), the region's premier water park destination, yesterday announced that it had attracted more than 70,000 guests from across the region in its first 2 months of operations since opening in September 2007.
Commenting on the enthusiasm of the public, Muhannad Hamad, Chairman, LPOD said: "We are delighted to announce that the response during the opening season of LPOD has surpassed our expectations. We are excited that the water park's unique components have been appreciated by a wide audience thus making it the preferred family entertainment destination in the region. We are currently gearing up to provide our visitors with special programs in the 2008 season."
In a step to promote LPOD as a world-class water park destination on the global platform and Bahrain as a whole, the water park will be participating in the upcoming World Travel Market 2007 exhibition, to be held from November 12th to 15th. Staged annually in London under one roof, World Travel Market (WTM) is a leading, business-to-business exhibition and provides a unique opportunity for the whole global travel trade industry to meet, network, negotiate, conduct business and stay abreast of the latest developments in the travel industry.
With the new team of highly trained experts, the LPOD has also equipped itself for an exciting 2008 season from the angle of qualified Bahrainis. In addition to this, the water park has provided training and recruitment programmes for young and enthusiastic Bahraini employees.
Focusing on the 2008 season, the team at the water park is going to utilize the short closure in the winter months to plan the fun and thrills to come. Paul Blunt, General Manager commented saying; "We are spending a lot of time in the next few months fine tuning all our services and systems to ensure that our 2008 opening is a truly memorable occasion."
We are also using the time to add more F&B outlets, install additional operating systems and make sure the park is in tip-top condition for everyone next year".
