First woman Public Prosecutor named
His Majesty the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, yesterday issued Royal Decree No. 8 for 2007 appointing Hameed Habeeb Ahmed and Ahmed Hamad Al Dosari, general lawyers with the rank of judges in the Higher Civil Appeals Court.
The decree also appointed Mamdouh Ahmed Abdullah Al Maowda, Fahad Salem Ateeq Salem, Juma Abdullah Mohammed Al Mosa, Hassan Abbas Jaffar Mohammed, Hussain Mohammed Hussain Bu Ali, Muaadh Mubarak Mohammed Al Aydi, Nayef Yousif Mohammed Mahmoud, Nawaf Mohammed Hamad Al Moawda, Shaikha Noora Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and Osama Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Public Prosecutors of level B with the rank of judges at the Higher Civil Court.
Also yesterday, His Majesty the King received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Middle East Broadcast Corporation (MBC), Shaikh Waleed Al Ibrahim, who briefed him on the programmes to develop the Gulf and Arab media.
HM the King lauded the advanced media role of the MBC.
King Hamad stressed the importance of the media and its role in the comprehensive development of the nation. He lauded the cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the MBC and called for benefiting from the exchange of expertise between them.
