MUSCAT -- In a significant endorsement of their quality standards and performance excellence, the laboratories under Atyab Foodtech LLC, Oman's leading food technology consultancy and research institution, have been awarded Recognition Certificate for Outstanding Accuracy and Precision Analysis by AACC International for the year 2012-13. Continuing with its winning streak, Atyab Foodtech laboratories have been approved by DGSM-Oman as third party laboratories. They also got accredited by DAC (Dubai Accreditation Department) -- an assessing and accrediting body in the fields of testing, calibration, inspection and certification of systems and products -- for ISO 17025: 2005 to carry out Food Testing.

"Our food labs boast the highest testing capabilities backed by a hand-picked team of food technology experts. We are driven by a passion to excel and a vision to provide safe, nutritional food to the people of Oman," said Mohib Ahmed, the GM of Atyab Foodtech. "We have recently completed one project in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University and Industrial Innovation center on a study on whole wheat products development and awareness creation in Oman. We are currently involved in projects such as Integrated Pest Control Management services, consultancy in food safety & hygiene, Halal certification, sensory evaluation of foods and kitchen safety awareness drives that are at various stages of design and implementation," Mr Mohib continued.

The Minnesota, US-based AACC International, a global research body on cereal grain science, stated that Atyab Foodtech has demonstrated its commitment to analytical accuracy and precision by participating in the Proficiency Rating Service for AACC International Check Sample and that Atyab's assertions of high analytical accuracy and precision are affirmed. In the middle-east, Atyab Foodtech provides consultancy services to food industry firms for GCC and Codex Food laws and regulations, as well as food and nutritional analysis and labeling. The company's range of services encompasses accredited food analysis and research, ISO & HACCP consultancy and training, food consultancy and Integrated Pest Control Management, among others.
