MUSCAT -- Muscat-based cargo group ATS is to open its third overseas branch in Saudi Arabia on May 10, followed by three more outlets in the Kingdom aiming to cater to the growing demands for cargo and courier needs.

The group which has aggressive growth plans has other international offices in India and Dubai.

Speaking to Observer from KSA, Naushad, Managing Director of ATS Group said the Group will, alongside KSA operations, open 12 more branches in Oman in the coming months.

"Our third overseas branch will be opened in KSA on May 10 followed by three more branches in the Kingdom one each in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al Khobar by this year," he said.

The group which has six offices in various parts of the Sultanate has plans to open 12 more offices across the country in the coming months for which the cost is being worked out, according to Naushad. Besides that, ATS is in talks with the Oman Post to work hand in hand with the national postal department.

"We are in talks with the Oman Post to serve its clients domestically and internationally. It is at the discussion stage and any outcome cannot be disclosed now," he said.

The cargo and courier group serves besides India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka while Philippines is expected to be added to its list soon.
