Arabian Radio Network (ARN) and Wild Wadi Water Park recently signed a new partnership which will give regular weather updates to UAE residents and visitors year round.

The UAE, known for its sand dunes, sunshine and shopping, enjoys a relatively stable weather, and slight changes in the weather pattern always comes as a surprise to everyone.

"By having Wild Wadi as a weather forecast sponsor, we help UAE residents and visitors find a better way to spend their day off. Since the UAE is a cosmopolitan country, there is enough to keep everyone happy," said Abdullatif Al Sayegh, Managing Director of Arabian Radio Network.

By giving the temperatures expected for the day, beach lovers and fans of the outdoors can avoid sunburn and heatstroke, he said.

"For instance, people who enjoy rainy and cloudy skies find it an opportunity to spend their time in the desert, while others prefer sunny days. As we all know, the people of the UAE are linked to the sea and the water. That is why we have an important role in informing them, whether the sea conditions are appropriate for activities such as fishing, sailing, diving," continued Al Sayegh.

ARNs weather reports are taken from different reliable sources, such as the local meteorology authorities and specialised sites on the web.

"It has brought our listeners closer to us and made them interact more, as they call us now for weather forecasts. And funny enough, some people even call to find out about Wild Wadi's opening hours. Therefore Wild Wadi became more than just a weather sponsor."

The Wild Wadi is themed around a tale from Arabian folklore featuring Juha, (a mythical traveller and adventurer) and his seafaring friend, Sinbad, and their close encounters with a storm that washed them ashore a magical oasis.

The design and attention to detail, including characters to support the theme recently led to a World Waterpark Association Industry Innovation Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Design and Theming.

Glenn Davidson, General Manager of Wild Wadi, commenting on the waterparks sponsorship of weather updates on the ARN, said: "We greatly value our relationship with Arabian Radio Network. We feel that our sponsorship of the weather forecast provides a positive contribution to the decisions the public make regarding their leisure time.

"It is the perfect partnership, we help bring weather information to Dubai and provide the perfect place to enjoy all those sun filled days."
