ARBIL: A motor exhibition has been opened in the city of Arbil with the participation of the minister of industry and trade in the regional government and Arbil Governor.

"The exhibition is held near Sami Abdulrahman Park, Arbil," the director general of Iraqi exhibitions in the regional cabinet, Ahmed Abdullah, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Ninety companies, including motor spare parts and accessories companies and car manufacturers, have participated in the four-day event.

On Saturday (Jan. 10), the director general of the Arbil International Exhibition, Lateef Aaref, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency that manufacturers of motor cars from Japan, France, Korea, Belgium, China and the United States would be present.

Arbil, the capital city of Iraq's Kurdistan region, lies 349 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
