KUWAIT, April 15 (KUNA) -- Wataniya Telecom announced Sunday that the Arab amateur mountain climbing team had conquered the Kilimanjaro summit in Tanzania.
Head of Wataniya's Public Relations announced with the attendance of the team's captain Zaid Al-Refai, of Kuwait, that the team have conquered the summit during the celebrations for the country's National and Liberation Days.
Al-Refai said on his behalf that the journey was successful in all aspects, calling Kuwaiti and Arab youths to participate in the sport of mountain climbing.
He praised the efforts of team members Riyadh Mal-allah and Ahmad Al-Majid, hoping for expansion of the team in the future.
Al-Refai is the only Arab who managed to conquer Mount-Everest in the Himalayas.
