Sharm El Sheikh - The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that the Arab League Council at the ministerial level will meet Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt with the participation of Arab League foreign ministers, including Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Hoshyar Zebari, in preparation for the II Economic Summit.

It is hoped that the second Arab economic, social and development summit to be held Wednesday at the level of leaders, kings and heads of Arab states, Iraq will be represented by President, Jalal Talabani.

The spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Hossam Zaki said in a press conference attended by AKnews reporter that "Iraq representation will be at the highest levels in the summit."

"The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari will participate this evening at the Arab League Council meeting at the ministerial level.

"The Arab League Council meeting at ministerial level will discuss the agenda of the summit and the work results of the ministers of trade and economy."

"The Arab ministers will discuss a number of other political issues, especially Tunisia and Lebanon issues."

Tunisia lives unstable security situation after the country's President , Zain El Abidine Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia after a popular uprising against unemployment and poverty, while political forces are in talks to form a government of national unity.

As for Lebanon, it has entered a political crisis after the fall of the government of Prime Minister, Rafiq al-Hariri, after the withdrawal of the Shiaa ministers from Hezbollah and its allies due to the differences on the Special Tribunal of Hariri's father death.

The Ambassador Hossam Zaki said "The foreign minister's mission is to prepare the agenda of the summit, after the results of the trade ministers work would be transferred to them to consider them , adopt them and submit to the Summit ".

The second Arab economic, social and development summit aims to support the economic cooperation among Arab countries, and formulate visions and mechanisms of action to support the efforts of Arab development.

The idea of holding Arab summits specialized in economic and social topics came by a joint Egyptian - Kuwaiti initiative, endorsed by the Arab Summit in Riyadh in March 2007.

The first summit was held in Kuwait in January 2009.
