DUBAI
Apple announced that its third UAE retail shop will be a two-level shop in Dubai Mall.
While the firm’s media statement on Tuesday said the shop will be at the “centre of everything”, its website indicates it will be between Pucci and Jimmy Choo, beneath TGI Friday.
“The concept is built on the essence of UAE as the Middle East’s commercial and creative hub featuring a young and bold cosmopolitan city,” Apple said in the statement, adding that it would be a “meeting point for the creative-minded people” and offer views of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.
Apple did not respond to a request for details on the shop’s floor space or opening date.
The company already operates shops in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.
It also has two retail outlets for travellers in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.
For now, the Dubai Mall shop is hidden behind a mural Apple says celebrates the creative community. It did not say who had created the mural.
