ALGIERS, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- Algeria and Qatar want to construct, in a partnership, a phosphate fertilizer complex that they plan to locate in Oued Keberit, 70 kilometers from Souk Ahras, Minister of Energy and Mines Youcef Yousfi announced here Friday.

The project of this complex, under review by ministers of energy of both countries, is expected to produce phosphate and nitrogen fertilizers, Yousfi told Algerian Press agency (APS) at the end of his discussions with his Qatari counterpart Mohamed Bin Salah Bin Al-Sada, who concluded his working visit to Algeria.

"We have large complexes that we want to construct in Oued Keberit, Souk Ahras, to transform phosphates into a phosphate and nitrogen fertilizers," he pointed out.
