BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--U.A.E.-based Al Nahda Commercial & Real Estate Co. Sunday launched a real estate and commerical project called Sahara City in Sharjah with investments topping 4 billion U.A.E. dirhams ($1.08 billion), the Dubai-based Al Bayan daily reported Monday.
Jean Nammour, executive director of the company, said that the project will be built on a 8.1 million square feet of land and will be completed in five years. It will host seven new towers, in addition to the already existing center that opened its doors in 2002 and which will be expanded by 60%.
