JEDDAH: Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Khaled Al-Molhem has been reelected to the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The general body of IATA elected Al-Molhem in its annual meeting held in Singapore last week.

Former Cathay Pacific chief executive Tony Tyler has been confirmed to succeed Giovanni Bisignani as IATA director general and chief executive.

At the same time it was confirmed Peter Hartman, president of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, will succeed chief executive of FedEx Express David Bronczek as chairman of the IATA Board of Governors.

Currently IATA, headquartered in Montreal, is present in over 150 countries covered through 101 offices around the globe.
